Indigenous games are a very important part of a people’s heritage and culture. They preserve age old traditions and stories of the people. These games have the power to promote reconciliation and also enhance social cohesion while developing lifelong skills in children. From observation, these games are threatened by extinction in the North West Region of Cameroon as many communities adopt and valorize contemporary games more, yet there is lack of infrastructure for these contemporary games and also the presence of exclusion. It is against this backdrop that we are promoting and professionalizing indigenous games in order not to only help children get reconnected to their roots, but to also create an inclusive atmosphere where children can develop social and cognitive skills and thrive. it is also a space for intercultural dialogue
