SDG Film Festival Report

One of the most powerful ways to engage and inspire young people is through film. It is the most influential and greatest form of creative expression and can be utilized in changing and shaping people’s outlook across communities.

Many young people between the ages of 12 to 18 years do not really have sufficient knowledge on the SDGs. As young people, they have a major role to play in the attainment of the SDGs. Sysy House of Fame (SHF) therefore saw the need to partner with THE WHY Foundation, in using film to raise awareness on the SDGs as the children would easily relate and better understand the context. The film festival took place from the 29th of March to the 2nd of April 2022. The goal of this project is; to promote arts, culture and the media, by sensitizing 500 Children in Bamenda, between the ages of 12 to 18 years, on the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals through film.
